\section{Interface control document} \label{sec:interface-control-document} \subsection{Mechanical Interface} The mechanical interface is documented in detail in the \acl{MICD} \cite{ahepam-micd}. The project's baseline to keep the mechanical interface of the DM identical to the FM. In case changes need to be applied after the DM design verification, the changed interface will be documented in the FM-MICD and the changes will be separately highlighted in a suitable way. \begin{figure}[h] \centering \includegraphics[width=0.75\linewidth]{cau-ath-ddc-0006_i1-0/media/cau-ath-icd-0011_i1-0_micd_dm.pdf} \caption[]{\acs{AHEPaM}s MICD} \label{fig:micd} \end{figure} \subsection{Thermal Interface} \acs{AHEPaM}s thermal interface is currently being designed. The elements, which define the thermal interface, such as potential radiators, thermal straps, connectors and/ or harnesses for external op/ non-op heating power or \acs{MLI} strongly depend on the final location on the \acs{S/C}.\newline By the time of writing a final interface definition can not be provided.\\ The thermal analysis report in \cite{ahepam-djf} describes the current status. \subsection{Electrical Interface} % \begin{wrapfigure}{r}{0.5\linewidth} % % \centering % % \rule{0.9\linewidth}{0.75\linewidth} % % \caption{Dummy figure.} % % \label{fig:myfig} % \includegraphics[width=1.0\linewidth]{cau-ath-ddc-0006_i1-0/media/ath-pinning-ICU2LVPS.pdf} % \caption[]{Pinning interface connector ICU to AHEPaM} % \label{fig:interface pinning} % \end{wrapfigure} In this stage there is no electrical interface document. The ESA document ESA-ATHENA-ESTEC-PL-SP-0001 (ATHENA – AHEPaM Specification) is our baseline for the electrical interface. Currently CAU design will foresee one connector for power, thermistor, on- off-control and data. Data includes the data connection to space craft and a high speed communication line for raw data during calibration which will be not connected by space craft in FM. This can be split up into separate connectors for data and power. For DM the power will be provided from lab power supply and all needed sub voltage will be generated there as well. The HV for PMTs will be provided by external HV power supply. We have foreseen a further survival heaters connector with thermistors for the case of too low environment temperatures in off state condition. This connector can be omitted when space craft temperature analysis shows that we won't fall below minimum storage temperature of instrument. \begin{figure}[h] \centering \includegraphics[height=0.9\textheight, width=\textwidth,keepaspectratio]{cau-ath-ddc-0006_i1-0/media/ath-pinning-ICU2LVPS.pdf} \caption[]{Pinning interface connector space craft to AHEPaM} \label{fig:pinning} \end{figure} % \begin{itemize} % \item (?) for DM and that comm. with pot. future S/C is neither scope of the DM nor intended to be developed by CAU % \item HV on lab equipment, e.g. NIM % \item Power % \end{itemize}
