The differences between FM and DM regarding the detector setup is given in detail in section \ref{sec:specifications}. The design philosophy of the detectors for the DM is as follows:
\begin{itemize}
\item SSDs are well understood, used frequently in other CAU instruments and have a high TRL. For the DM, we mainly use a simplified setup of these compared to the FM in order identify particles in upcoming calibration campaigns while studying the other detectors. Hence, we will use spare parts from previous missions with different sizes compared to the FM. We may also use single detectors rather than stacks of two detectors for further simplifications
\item BGOs have been also used in previous instruments, however, \ac{AHEPaM} is using them in particular to monitor secondary particle showers caused by high energy electrons. Since these measurements have to be validated by our calibrations, we aim at a detector geometry similar to the FM, i.e. \todo[inline]{we use two BGOs of exactly the correct size?}
\item The Cherenkov detectors may be also influencend by the complex field of secondary particles created in the instruments volume and hence, the design philosophy is similar to BGOs; the DM should have a setup (i.e. Cherenkov detectors on both sides of the BGOs) comparable to the FM.
